Teaching lifelong skills while having fun
With a broad community of leaders, volunteers, and members, Cream of the Crop 4-H Club strives to engage the youth of Pierce County in learning about goats, while teaching the invaluable skills and discipline needed to succeed throughout life.
Members will be engaged in a variety of disciplines including animal sciences, agriculture, nutrition, record keeping, public speaking, and critical thinking. We encourage our older youth to take on leadership roles in the club, as President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
Our mission is to set our youth up for success in their lives, while building life-long friendships and mentor-ships.
Cream of the Crop 4-H: We rise to the top!
Our Projects
Dairy Goats
As our primary project, we focus on educating our 4-H’ers about the ins and outs of dairy breeds, conformation, care, record keeping, and showing. We teach how to have fun while learning and doing!
Meat Goats
Our secondary project may get less of the spotlight, but as long as we have 4-H kids enrolled and interested we will continue to teach about the meat goat breeds and how to raise and care for a market goat all the way to auction.
